Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a medical treatment using oxygen, the most important and basic element for sustaining life on our planet.

“Hyper” means increased and “baric” refers to pressure-oxygen delivered at increased atmospheric pressure. This treatment raises the oxygen level in the entire body hundreds of times more than usual, getting life sustaining and replenishing oxygen to normal tissues as well as cells which are compromised by circulation or other problems. Restoring oxygen to depleted tissues and or raising oxygen levels in normal tissues has dramatic effects. Swelling or edema is reduced and the body’s own healing process is actually stimulated. Collagen deposition is promoted and new blood vessels grow rapidly in an oxygen rich environment.

The Hyperbaric Oxygen Experience

Our mono place chambers are designed for use by one patient at a time for optimal comfort and privacy. The patient reclines in a large, clear specially designed chamber. You can rest, meditate, watch satellite television or your favorite DVD, listen to music or simply sleep. The treatment itself is painless, relaxing and an overall very positive experience. The hyperbaric treatment is typically an hour in duration and is administered daily depending upon the individual medical circumstance or condition being treated.

Many of the hyperbaric chambers used in non medical facilities or at home don’t really provide effective hyperbaric treatments. Some of these portable units use room air at 21% oxygen in comparison to 100% in our hyperbaric chambers.
